This week's comic is about Halloween. Above is a picture of my awesome costume taken by
some random critical mass participant. Last week my dad was visiting so I fell behind in everything; that's why
the comic was posted today and not yesterday.
I'm already thinking about my Halloween costume for next year.
Also, I'm trying to decide the when/where/what of my birthday party. I haven't had a party in over a year and I haven't
had a real birthday party since, oh, sixth grade?
I want a friend who goes out of town a lot and has a really
cool snub-nosed dog that needs a caretaker at times. I am a dog person; what can I say? I need to start my dogsitting business.

The Houston bike registration law is being rescinded today, thanks to the efforts of Chris "the
Mayor of Montrose" Hutto and the citizens of Montrose. Juan, the leader of the Montrose Bike Gang, spoke to the Mayor
about the law being unnecessary and essentially anti-bike. The Mayor contacted city council and related agencies. He spoke
to city council a few weeks ago to propose eliminating the law and spoke again yesterday to thank them for their support.
Members of MBG were there to support him both times he went to city council.
I'm so happy this law is being
stricken from the books. It is difficult to get your bike registered here--the fire department often doesn't know where
the registration forms are--and it doesn't prevent bike theft, reduce reckless cycling, or earn money for the city. Most
people do not have their bikes registered because most of them don't even know this law exists.

A
fortune cookie once told me that everything takes longer than you think. And most of the time that's true. Another fortune
cookie said it's better to get something done late than never get it done at all. Also true. Keep these deep thoughts
in mind when you look at the shoddy late posted comic.
I still like the business card my sister designed for me
(above).
