Hi everyone,

I've finally posted a new comic, but what I really want to draw your attention to is KTRU. Recently, it was announced that University of Houston bought KTRU's fm frequency/transmitter/etc. from Rice University. Please go to savektru.org for more information and action steps. 

 

 

I'm really upset about this. KTRU is a big part of my life and not having the 91.7 fm will be a huge loss to the station and the community. When I was in high school, I listened (and often taped) the  indie rock show on the local college radio station. I stumbled across the show; I never would have found it online. Even though I had internet access, I counted on that show to introduce me to new music.

Music has helped me get through the hardest times in my life. Without the radio, I doubt I would have found the right songs to relate to or to encourage and inspire me when I needed it the most. That's why, when I found out about 91.7 being sold, I thought about all of those kids in the Houston area who won't be able to stumble across their new favorite artist and find the music they need to get through their lives.  Please, please, please support KTRU!

I was hoping to finish the new comic yesterday, then today...but I've been busy socializing and cleaning and sleeping 10 hours a night. I hope to post the new comic (it's two pages) by next Monday. 

 

I really want to get better about updating the site every week. I need to work on staying focused. I'll be taking a break from job two and picking up extra hours at job one, so hopefully I'll be able to have more free time and about as much money. We'll see. 

Finally finished the two part comic about my parents' divorce announcement. 

It's a little disjointed on the second page, but I wanted to show that the day actually went well even though it was precarious. Also, I dominated Street Wrestling, and my friends are awesome. 

Oh, and I guess I should mention that I'm not upset about the divorce. I was just surprised. 

 

Next week I'll post a comic about going to Sam's wedding. Fun times.
